FAQs

Justisse Method

What is the Justisse Method?

The Justisse Method is a standardized system for learning fertility awareness by charting and interpreting three primary signs of fertility: cervical mucus secretions, basal body temperature and cervical position.

The approach of the Justisse Method is client centered and respects individual sexual and reproductive health choices -it supports reproductive freedom, and does not discriminate against an individual’s marital status, sexual orientation, or sexual behavior.

What is the efficacy rate of the Justisse Method?

The estimated perfect-use efficacy rate is between 97.6 and 99.6 % for the symptothermal version, and between 96.6 and 98,9 % for the mucus-only version (Peragallo Urrutia et al., 2018, Duane et al., 2022).

What’s with the AFAP logo?

Thanks for noticing! As a graduate of Justisse College, I am accredited with the Association of Fertility Awareness Professionals.

When you see the “AFAP Accredited FAE” icon on a Fertility Awareness Educator’s website, you can be confident that the instructor is a highly qualified professional. An educator recognized by the Association of Fertility Awareness Professionals (AFAP) has successfully completed a rigorous certification training process that typically takes two years to complete.

Can I benefit from charting if my cycles are irregular?
